About the Farm
Background
Fat Land Farm is the realization of a dream for owner and farmer Gary Walker. Located in Roswell, GA, just outside Atlanta, the farm spans three beautiful acres surrounded by large white oak and beech trees. The farm sells its produce through a CSA program, to local restaurants, and at a farm-site stand, all within a 15-mile radius to foster community connections and minimize environmental impact.
Practices
Certified Naturally Grown, the farm avoids synthetic herbicides, pesticides, fertilizers, antibiotics, hormones, and genetically modified organisms. Several biodynamic farming practices are implemented to cultivate vegetables in healthy soils, ensuring the production of chemical-free and nutrient-dense food.
The Rest
The farm aims to encourage, educate, and empower others to embrace a more natural and healthier way of eating, making it more than just a place for growing vegetables but a way of life for Gary, his family, staff, and volunteers.
