Hill Orchard, owned by the town of Westford, has been operated by Farmer Dave since 2015. Known for its diverse fruit varieties, the orchard has become a local staple for fresh produce and community events.
Practices
The orchard employs traditional fruit-growing methods, focusing on a variety of peaches, plums, apricots, nectarines, pears, and apples. The farm stand, which opens in early to mid-July, features their own fruits and vegetables, raw honey, scratch-made baked goods, and local dairy products.
The Rest
In September and October, the orchard offers pick-your-own apples on weekends, complemented by free hayrides. A CSA pick-up is available on Fridays, providing members with fresh, seasonal produce.
