About the Farm
Background
Farm To Market Beef was founded out of a desire to spend more time with family while engaging in the passion for sustainable, locally grown food and high-quality beef. The farm is located about 40 miles south of San Antonio, Texas.
Practices
The cattle are raised in a sustainable manner, grazing on south Texas native and improved grasses without the use of any hormones, antibiotics, or grain. The cattle are processed at a locally owned Texas Department of Agriculture inspected facility and harvested at a fairly young age to ensure quality meat.
The Rest
A side of grass-fed beef yields around 130 pounds of boneless retail cuts, while a whole carcass yields about 260 pounds, though these weights can vary. The farm offers wholesale ground beef for restaurants and catering, with volume discounts available. Free delivery is provided to San Antonio, Austin, Corpus Christi, and Houston areas, and orders can be placed by phone or email.
