About the Farm
Background
Founded in 2011, the Estill Family established blueberry farms in the fertile valleys along the Umpqua River in Oregon. Over the years, they have expanded to include both conventional and USDA certified organic blueberry farms, becoming a staple in the local agricultural community.
Practices
The Elkton farm is USDA certified organic, adhering to strict organic farming practices to maintain soil health and berry quality. The Drain farm operates conventionally, focusing on efficient and productive farming methods. Both farms encourage sustainable practices by providing on-site buckets for picking and encouraging visitors to bring their own containers for transport.
The Rest
The Elkton farm offers Draper and Top Shelf berry varieties, while the Drain farm provides Draper and Liberty berries. U-pick options are available at both locations, with specific pricing for organic and conventional berries. The farms also sell pre-picked fresh and frozen berries, with reservations recommended for larger orders. The Estill Family values their connection with the community and enjoys welcoming visitors during the picking season.
