About the Farm
Background
Phil and Liz Mamer have been rearing beef in Caldwell, Idaho, since 1991. Over the years, they have focused on providing quality beef for friends and neighbors in the Treasure Valley. The farm is known for its commitment to raising cattle that are born, grown, and raised entirely on private ground in Idaho.
Practices
The farm raises Beefmaster and Simmental-Angus cross cattle, selected for their flavor, tenderness, and ability to utilize grass. The cattle feed on grass and alfalfa fields throughout their lives. They employ low-stress handling techniques and avoid the use of hormones and antibiotics. The farm's philosophy is encapsulated in their motto: 'From our farm, to your table, it's that simple.'
The Rest
The farm sells whole and half shares of grass-fed beef, as well as select cuts by the piece. They are currently sold out for the Fall 2024 harvest. Prices for 2025 include $4.08 per pound hanging weight, with a $200 deposit for a half and a $400 deposit for a whole, both of which are 100% refundable up to 90 days prior to harvest. Visitors are welcome, especially in late spring when the calves are being born.
