About the Farm

Background

The farm has gained recognition for its Nubian dairy goats and has been featured in local news multiple times. In 2016, they made the difficult decision to lease most of their herd due to personal circumstances but continued to maintain a smaller herd. They have also been involved in international activities, such as judging a national goat show in Russia.

Practices

Antibiotics are used only when necessary for the health of the animals, and the farm operates under the supervision of a local large animal vet with USDA inspections due to their export activities. They maintain a closed, biosecure environment and are free from CAE, Johnes, and CL, as evidenced by their regular testing. The farm emphasizes the importance of conformationally correct and genetically proven animals for their herd.

The Rest

The farm is available by appointment only and does not offer tours. They regularly participate in the Captain Anderson's farmers market on Saturday mornings. In addition to their livestock, they occasionally have boxer puppies available. The farm has implemented the use of USDA 840-microchips for their animals.
