About the Farm
Background
Since 1995, three generations of the Draper family have been operating the farm together. Known for its certified organic status by Marin Organic Certified Agriculture, the farm has become a staple in the community, providing a variety of heirloom vegetables and other produce.
Practices
The farm cultivates a wide range of heirloom vegetables, including dozens of varieties of tomatoes, eggplants, and peppers, as well as carrots, squash, corn, beans, beets, herbs, and leaf vegetables, all grown organically. New crops are introduced annually, such as Siberian tomatoes and soybeans. Special plots are dedicated to crops like cotton and peanuts for educational visits by local school children. The farm also produces untreated honey from a small apiary and free run eggs from a flock of hens.
The Rest
Produce is offered for sale to restaurants and caterers. Public access to the farm is available through a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) project, with open membership and no initiation fees. Members typically harvest the fresh organic food themselves. Occasionally, organic herb plants like Greek oregano are available.
