About the Farm
Background
Located in Greene County, NC since 1995, the farm is co-owned and managed by third-generation farmer Jay Dixon. It represents three generations of natural farming knowledge, focusing on sustainable livestock farming and traditional vegetable growing methods.
Practices
The farm operates under five sustainable divisions: pork, poultry, meat goats, rabbits, and vegetables. Animals are raised on pasture, allowing them to roam freely and eat nutritious grasses. The farm is Animal Welfare Approved for its pork and adheres to high welfare standards for all animals. They use crop rotation, integrated pest management, and natural fertilizers, including compost from livestock barns and litter from a neighboring turkey operation.

The farm offers u-pick, CSA, and at-farm pickup options, with shipping available. They produce 25 varieties of vegetables and emphasize the health benefits of pasture-raised meat and eggs, which are hormone and antibiotic-free. Their products are USDA and AWA-certified, ensuring high quality and safety.
