About the Farm

Background

Dinner Bell Farm is owned and operated by Molly Nakahara and Paul Glowaski, along with their son Yoshi. They manage 10 acres of fields, pastures, ponds, and wildlands in Grass Valley, CA. Since 2010, the farm has been known for its specialty cut flowers and pasture-raised pigs, particularly heritage breeds like American Mulefoot, Mangalitsa, and Hereford hogs.

Practices

The farm emphasizes compassionate animal treatment and careful land stewardship. Their closed-herd of heritage hogs graze across diverse landscapes, including peach orchards and old flower fields. Paul, an animal welfare expert and soil farmer, integrates cover cropping and organic practices to enhance soil health. Molly, a farmer-florist, uses farm-grown flowers and greenery to craft custom wedding designs.

The Rest

Dinner Bell Farm offers pork for local delivery or pick-up year-round. They also provide floral arrangements for weddings and other events. Paul works as an organic inspector for CCOF and consults on resource management and soil building through Knuckleball Ag Services. Molly supports the farming community as the Education Manager at the CCOF Foundation.
