Diamond P Ranch Meats,LLC

The Powell family has managed the land in Blue Grass, Iowa for over 100 years. Scott took over the operation in 2004, and with Kim, they started the Diamond P Ranch. The farm had previously been used only for crops, but they reintroduced livestock, growing a registered Hereford and commercial cattle herd. The farm now spans nearly 1,000 acres of owned and rented land, with the homestead on 200 acres.

Cattle are pasture-raised and grain-finished, with calves calving in early spring and fall. They are fully vaccinated and background-fed for 90 days. The farm uses horseback methods for cattle work and collaborates with Tipton Meat Locker for processing. The genetic program includes bloodlines such as Duster, Purple Tonic, Back ‘n Time, LaGrand Reload, P606, and Feltons Legend 242.

The farm offers bulk meat sales, individual cuts, and farm fresh eggs. The Powell family is deeply involved in livestock shows and community activities. The farm is a family-run operation, providing a lifestyle that they cherish.
