About the Farm
Background
Located in Southern California's Central Inland Empire, this family-owned and operated ranch spans over 100 acres and has become known for promoting sustainable farming and natural living concepts. The ranch offers a variety of USDA inspected meats and eggs, available at local Farmer's Markets across San Diego, Riverside, Orange, and Los Angeles Counties.
Practices
The ranch employs a holistic approach to animal husbandry, ensuring that no hormones, steroids, incremental antibiotics, genetically modified organisms, or soy are used in their feed. Cows and sheep graze on pasture with natural desert growth during wet seasons and are supplemented with high-quality hay year-round. Pigs and fowl receive a proprietary blend of grasses, vegetables, fruits, minerals, and supplements, while poultry also forage for bugs as they roam freely. The farm also recycles animal excrement to produce compost, enriching the soil and supporting local customers.
The Rest
The ranch offers farm tours for individuals, schools, scouts, and other groups, providing a hands-on experience with the animals and farm operations. Visitors can feed the animals and even participate in mucking out stalls. Additionally, the ranch provides a mixed-meat CSA and offers pastured and free-range eggs from various poultry. Tours are scheduled on a reservation system and can be requested via the farm's website.
