About the Farm

Background

Located in Robertson County, Texas, Cross Timbers Ranch has established itself as a small but dedicated producer of pasture-raised beef and poultry. Known for its commitment to raising animals without synthetic chemicals, growth hormones, or antibiotics, the ranch has become a trusted source for high-quality meat and eggs in the local community.

Practices

The ranch employs a rotational grazing system for its pasture-raised and finished beef, ensuring the cattle have access to fresh grass and legumes. A mix of diatomaceous earth, kelp, and salt is provided as a natural de-wormer and mineral supplement. Poultry, including broilers and layers, are raised free-range on pasture and moved regularly to fresh grass. They are fed a custom ration and, in the case of layers, provided with free-choice oyster shell. No chemicals, pesticides, or animal by-products are used in any part of the operation.

The Rest

Beef is sold frozen by the split half, half, whole, or in variety packs, while pastured poultry is available seasonally. Farm fresh, hand-gathered brown eggs are available year-round and sold directly from the ranch, at several area farmers markets, and select retail outlets. Shipping is not available at this time.
