About the Farm

Background

Creme de la Crop was established in 2002 by Leann Landgrebe, a fourth-generation farmer on her family's property in Valparaiso, Indiana. The farm is steeped in European traditions dating back almost a century, and these values continue with the current farmer. Known for its high-quality produce, the farm has focused on Community Supported Agriculture since Leann reinvented the family farm.

Practices

Although no longer USDA Certified Organic by choice, the farm has not altered its growing methods. Emphasizing the interconnectedness of farming practices and ecology, the farm takes great pride in maintaining the highest quality standards in all its produce. The farm's philosophy revolves around sustainable agriculture, providing raw honey and pasture-raised meats while nurturing the land.

The Rest

In addition to its agricultural offerings, the farm also provides handcrafted natural products such as soap, candles, and skincare items. Leann Sego, alongside her husband Robert, shares agricultural tips, cooking recipes, and unique farm projects aimed at promoting a wonderful and independent lifestyle. The farm also engages in various community programs, including a volunteer program and a jar recycling initiative.
