Crack O' Dawn Farm LLC

Crack O' Dawn Farm began with humble roots, evolving from a small family operation raising pigs and cattle to a diverse farm located alongside the Cascade Siskiyou National Monument. The land, once a homestead in the 1940s, has been transformed over the years. The farm now spans almost 40 acres of silvopasture, seasonal creeks, and natural grasses. For over 15 years, the farm has been a cornerstone of Southern Oregon's agricultural community, known for its dedication to sustainable and regenerative farming practices.

The farm employs a variety of regenerative and sustainable farming methods to restore soil health, replant trees, and increase plant biodiversity. Rotational grazing is a key practice, allowing mixed species flocks to graze on fresh mountain grasses. The farm avoids the use of chemicals, pesticides, and herbicides, opting instead for composting and manual removal of invasive plant species. Forest remediation is also a priority, addressing beetle damage and promoting forest health.

Visitors to the farm can expect to see a variety of livestock, including ADGA Alpine goats, Gloucestershire Old Spot Heritage Pigs, and pastured poultry. The farm also breeds Livestock Guardian pups and Field bred English Cocker Spaniels. An old apple orchard, raspberry vines, and seasonal gardens add to the farm's charm. The farm offers a raw goat milk herdshare program and produces nutrient-dense, non-GMO fed chicken eggs. The farm's proximity to thousands of acres of BLM and monument lands provides a picturesque backdrop for its operations.
