Crabapple Farm

Rooted in principles of ecological stewardship and societal health, this family farm is run by Tevis and Rachel Robertson-Goldberg and Sally and Bill Stites-Robertson. Known for producing a balanced mix of products to nurture their community and farm, they emphasize the importance of a personal connection with food, the farm, and the farmers.

The farm's whole plan aims to create a symbiotic system where diverse plant, animal, and soil communities interact, mimicking natural processes. They prefer using human labor and ox power for fieldwork over fossil fuel-driven tractors, considering animal power an appropriate level of mechanization. They grow many heirloom crop varieties and heritage breeds of livestock, saving their own seed from many varieties. Their farming practices combine the best aspects of Organic, Biodynamic, Permaculture, and traditional farming principles.

The farm offers internships in organic and sustainable farming practices, providing an educational opportunity for those interested in these methods.
