Covenant Farms

Covenant Farms began as a collaborative effort by three local families aiming to produce better food for themselves and their neighbors. The initial project focused on raising dairy goats for milk and providing herd shares. Over time, the farm expanded to include pastured broiler hens.

The farm employs rotational grazing for their poultry, ensuring chickens receive fresh grass daily while naturally fertilizing the pasture. The chickens are fed Non-GMO feed sourced from Virginia. Animals are processed on-site with dignity and respect. The farm emphasizes stewardship of the land and animals, integrating permaculture principles with plans for a food forest and honey bee installation.

Visitors are welcome to tour the farm to observe the farming practices firsthand and understand the origins of their food. The farm also plans to expand into laying hens for eggs and mushroom production.
