About the Farm
Background
Located in the steep terrain of the Coulee Region, this small family farm has become known for its diverse offerings of poultry, pork, and limited availability meats. The farm is a family operation where everyone contributes to the daily tasks.
Practices
Animals are either free-ranged, day-ranged, or moved in portable pens, ensuring they have access to fresh pasture. The farm avoids the routine use of antibiotics, hormones, or appetite stimulants, and treats animals respectfully and humanely. Cornish Cross Broilers are processed between six and eight weeks, while Medium-Growth Broilers are processed between eight and ten weeks, and Slow-Growth Broilers between ten and twelve weeks. Pastured hens produce healthier, better-tasting eggs, and heritage turkeys are available for Thanksgiving. Pastured pork is available in various quantities, and limited supplies of duck, goose, and lamb are also offered.
The Rest
The farm has recently introduced a Meat CSA, available in full, half, or quarter shares for durations of 6 or 13 months, which can be joined at any time of the year.
