About the Farm
Background
For four generations, the family has dedicated itself to farming, with a rich history of growing wine grapes in Lodi. Established in 2006, the farm quickly gained recognition for its high-quality wines, vinegars, and olive oil. The farm's vineyards, including 140 acres of Old Vine Zinfandel planted 80 years ago, continue to produce sought-after grapes. The farm has earned numerous awards, including Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals in various competitions.
Practices
The farm takes pride in working the soils to produce some of the best wine grapes in the region. They employ non-irrigated farming methods for their Chardonnay and Merlot, resulting in intense, high-quality fruit. The farm uses a mix of American and French Oak barrels for aging their wines, depending on the vintage and style. Stainless steel barrels are used for fermenting their award-winning District 11 Chardonnay, allowing the fruit's natural flavors to shine.
The Rest
The farm's tasting room in Thornton, California, offers a variety of cheeses and snack items for visitors. They emphasize building lasting relationships and producing local, sustainable foods with a focus on passion and craftsmanship. The farm is also a gluten-free company.
