Colchester Farm CSA

Colchester Farm CSA has been in operation since 2002, leasing 10 acres of land on the historic 350-acre Colchester Farm located on the Sassafras River. Over the years, it has become known for its commitment to providing fresh, organically-grown produce to the local community. The CSA supports approximately 170 members and has established strong relationships with local farmers markets and restaurants.

The farm employs sustainable vegetable production methods, avoiding synthetic chemicals and genetically modified organisms. It emphasizes hands-on learning through apprenticeships, allowing individuals to gain experience in both farming and the marketing of produce. The focus is on small-scale farming techniques that maximize yield from relatively small plots of land without relying on high technology.

In addition to its CSA program, the farm offers apprenticeships to those interested in sustainable agriculture.
