About the Farm
Background
Set in the pastoral hills of Pomfret, Vermont, Cloudland Farm has been in the Emmons family since 1908. Known for its spectacular views and rich agricultural heritage, the farm has become a local landmark over the years.
Practices
Cloudland Farm employs diversified farming practices, raising black Angus cattle, laying hens, Cornish-cross meat chickens, turkeys, and pastured pigs. The farm also cultivates vegetables, herbs, and flowers, integrating a variety of agricultural activities to maintain a balanced ecosystem.
The Rest
While the farm does not offer tours due to a busy farming schedule, visitors are welcome at the farm store during posted hours. The Cloudland Farm Market sells natural Angus beef products, local maple syrup, cheeses, Vermont teas, sodas, handmade goat’s milk soaps, and more. Additionally, the on-farm restaurant offers a true farm-to-table dining experience with menus that change daily, crafted by Chef Mike Borraccio. Dinner is served on Fridays and Saturdays by reservation only, often booked four to six weeks in advance.
