About the Farm
Background
In 1981, Bill and Angell began their farming journey in Chelan, overcoming initial challenges to lease area orchards and eventually incorporate Diamondback Acres, Inc. in 1992. By 1995, they achieved certified organic status. Over the years, the family, including their daughters Shyla and Natalie, has been deeply involved in the farm's operations, embodying values of compassion, honesty, and a love for the land.
Practices
The farm adheres to certified organic farming methods and holds a Salmon-Safe certification, emphasizing the importance of clean water and environmental protection. They prioritize quality over quantity, maintaining less than 200 acres of farmland to ensure meticulous care. Their commitment extends to sustainable packaging and a holistic approach to land stewardship.
The Rest
Designated as a Women-Owned Business, the farm offers a variety of fresh and freeze-dried fruits, with a focus on delivering high-quality produce directly to customers. They provide opportunities for visitors to engage with the farm through U-pick events and direct communication with the farmers. The farm's scenic location, surrounded by majestic mountains and Lake Chelan, enhances the visitor experience.
