About the Farm
Background
Located in the hills of the Petaluma Gap, Sonoma Hills Farm spans 37 acres of picturesque landscape. Known for its organic vegetable farming, the farm has supplied produce to renowned local and San Francisco restaurants such as Homage, Rich Table, Frances, and Brewsters. The farm also includes a private estate and residence, where friends and family are regularly welcomed for small gatherings.
Practices
The farm dedicates 1-5 acres of south-facing plots to organic vegetable farming, utilizing silt loam soil known for its well-draining, high fertility, and low erosion properties. The soil is nourished exclusively with organic materials, and all soil tending is done by hand without the use of machines. Additionally, the farm grows cannabis and emphasizes regenerative farming practices.
The Rest
Sonoma Hills Farm offers the opportunity for other farmers to co-opt or lease garden space at their Chefs Ranch. While the farm is a private estate and does not permit visits from the general public, it remains a hub for organic cultivation and small, intimate gatherings.
