About the Farm
Background
Located just two hours from New York City in the foothills of the Catskills, this farm was previously home to a dairy. The barn now houses a laying flock of hardy free-range poultry, pastured sheep and goats, and two miniature ponies named Sid and Nancy.
Practices
Utilizing crop rotation, companion planting, cover crops, no-till practices, and permaculture ideologies, the farm nurtures its loamy soils and reduces pressure from pests.
The Rest
Specialties include hard-neck garlics, mixed salad greens, and spicy saute mixes. The farm also creates a range of seasonally-dependent, small-batch dressings, marinades, mustard, ketchup, and relish with produce from their fields and those of their neighbors. Farm tours are available by appointment.
