About the Farm
Background
Cecil Creek Farm, a 42-acre agricultural haven, was established by Bill and Megan Bumbernick in 2012 after purchasing the land from a developer. The farm, adjacent to Megan's childhood home, became a community farm inspired by their visit to California's community farms and CSAs. The name 'Cecil Creek' honors Megan's father, Cecil John Cuthbert. The farm was later acquired by Frank Ferrucci and Rose C. Moffa, who continue the legacy of organic farming and community engagement.
Practices
Cecil Creek Farm adheres to USDA Certified Organic standards, focusing on organic vegetable production and sustainable farming practices. The farm's commitment to organic methods is rooted in the founders' lifelong dedication to healthy living and organic food. The farm's practices emphasize the interconnectedness of the land, the food it produces, and the community it serves.
The Rest
Cecil Creek Farm offers a variety of CSA shares, including vegetables, eggs, fruit, meals, and kombucha. The farm also serves as a picturesque venue for weddings and special events, providing a unique farm-to-table experience. Visitors can enjoy a range of activities, from market table dinners and yoga sessions to concerts and paint events, making it a vibrant community hub.
