Carlson's Orchard, Bakery & Restaurant

Carlson’s Orchard Bakery and Restaurant has been a beloved family-owned business since 1992, founded by Joe and Colleen Carlson who brought their extensive experience from the Northwest apple industry to Winsted, Minnesota. Over the years, it has become known for its quality food and family-friendly atmosphere. In 2021, after the loss of Colleen, Joe decided to scale back operations, and the orchard is now run by their son Noah and his wife Ariana.

The orchard emphasizes quality and care in its apple cultivation, offering both U-pick and pre-picked options. The bakery uses apples from the orchard in its pies, ensuring fresh and locally sourced ingredients.

The orchard is housed in a historic 1932 dairy barn and offers a variety of activities including hayrides and live music events. Although the restaurant will be closed for the 2023 season, the bakery and retail store remain open, providing frozen take-and-bake pies and fresh apples. The orchard also supports fundraising and wholesale operations.
