About the Farm
Background
The Carey Family has been making maple syrup in Michigan since 1870, and since 1968, they have been operating at their current location northeast of Big Rapids. Their Sugarbush spans 80 acres of rolling land above the Muskegon River Valley.
Practices
They tap over 1,200 trees and still fire their evaporator with wood, while using modern equipment to ensure the highest quality product. Their syrup is 100% pure with no preservatives or additives.
