About the Farm
Background
In the 1950s, the land was initially a hog farm before evolving into an orange grove known as the Galman ranch. After the citrus production ceased, the land was left to nature until it was purchased out of bankruptcy in 2009. The family transformed it into a small produce stand and later expanded into a demonstration kitchen and quick service restaurant. In 2013, they added the Rustic Barn for events, making it a full-service agrarian wedding venue. Today, the farm spans almost 85 acres, including produce growing areas, a herd of Dexter cattle, and over 200 chickens.
Practices
The farm employs hydroponic farming techniques to maximize crop yield with minimal environmental impact. All produce is naturally grown by experienced agricultural specialists. The farm emphasizes responsible farming practices and a commitment to the local community and economy.
The Rest
The farm includes a country store, counter service eatery, and event destination. It serves Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Sanibel and Captiva Islands, Bonita Springs, Estero, Naples, and surrounding regions. The Rustic Barn offers a unique venue for weddings and other celebrations, featuring classic country charm and elegant lighting. The farm's restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and Friday night dinners, using ingredients sourced directly from the farm.
