About the Farm

Background

In operation since 1888, Bristol's Farm is currently managed by 5th generation family farmer Josh Bristol, along with his wife Erica and father Dan. The farm spans 28 farmable acres and has been a cornerstone of the local community, providing fresh produce through a retail stand, farmers markets, and a CSA program.

Practices

The farm employs sustainable agriculture practices, avoiding herbicides and GMO crops. Natural and organic pest control methods are prioritized, and minimal external inputs such as fertilizers are used. This approach ensures the long-term health of the soil and the well-being of the community it serves.

The Rest

The farm market store offers a variety of fresh produce including corn, tomatoes, lettuce, squash, cabbage, beans, onions, garlic, potatoes, strawberries, raspberries, and blackberries. They also grow their own flowers and carry products from a local dairy farm, as well as locally made soaps, honey, pickles, sauces, and eggs. The farm opens every year in early May with seedlings, flowers, and gardening supplies, and operates through the end of October.
