About the Market

Background

The Boyertown Farmers Market, located in Berks County, began its 2011 season on June 4th. Situated in the parking lot of the Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles, the market operates year-round every Saturday, rain or shine, from 10 AM to 1 PM, June through October, and once a month from 10 AM to 11:30 AM, November through May.

Practices

All farmers are the original growers or producers of the products they sell. Many of the farmers are certified organic or practice organic techniques. Several farmers raise and sell heritage chickens, turkeys, and beef. All livestock is treated humanely, with no antibiotics, and are free-range and pasture-raised.

The Rest

The market invites crafters and artists to showcase their talents each week and features The Kid's Korner, a safe, fun place for kids and their parents to relax and play. In addition to weekly entertainment, the market has many special events scheduled throughout the season. FMNP, SMNP vouchers are accepted at authorized vendor tents, and food stamps are now accepted at the market.
