About the Farm
Background
Founded in 2014, the farm emerged from a necessity for health and environmental stewardship, transitioning from a vegetarian lifestyle to a regenerative farming model. Initially certified organic, they chose to forgo the certification due to bureaucratic challenges but continue to adhere to and exceed those standards.
Practices
The farm employs regenerative farming techniques to maintain ecological balance. Chickens, cows, and pigs are raised in small numbers to ensure harmony among species. Heritage breed pigs are woodlot-raised and supplemented with local non-GMO grain, while the beef is grass-fed and grass-finished. Organic vegetables are cultivated and used in their commercial kitchen to create various products.
The Rest
Visitors can explore the farm stand on Saturdays from 10-2, offering artisan breads, sourdoughs, English muffins, and more. The farm also engages with the community through educational events and updates via social media platforms.
