About the Farm
Background
Ken and Kate Osgood, who met in Colorado, moved to New Hampshire to lead a more fulfilling life and purchased the property in 2015. They aimed to provide a healthy lifestyle and diet for their family and share high-quality meat with the community. In 2018, they became one of the only registered Berkshire breeders in New Hampshire.
Practices
The farm employs pasture-based methods for raising chickens, pork, lamb, and turkeys, ensuring the animals spend their lives on green pastures with plenty of sunshine and fresh air. The animals are never treated with antibiotics or hormones, and organic practices are adhered to whenever possible. The farm emphasizes humane treatment and transparency, inviting visitors to see their practices firsthand. All animals are processed at a USDA facility with complete traceability.
The Rest
The farm involves the entire family in caring for the animals and offers a variety of meats for sale. They also provide recipes and encourage customers to reserve holiday turkeys. The farm is known for its Berkshire heritage pigs and has expanded its herd since 2020. Visitors are welcome by appointment to see the farm's operations.
