About the Farm

Background

Bindi Farms began as a dream rooted in a love for the land and animals. Over the years, the farm has adapted to meet the needs of the community and the challenges of changing times. Founded by Lauren and her daughter Ava, the farm has grown to include a variety of livestock and produce offerings, all while maintaining a focus on sustainability and community engagement.

Practices

Bindi Farms employs humane and animal-centered farming practices, ensuring that all livestock live out their days either on the farm or in local homes. The farm operates primarily on solar power and uses Livestock Guardian Dogs to protect animals from predators. Respectful dairy practices are a cornerstone, with young animals staying with their mothers until they begin eating solids. The farm's animals are pastured during the day and provided with high-quality alfalfa hay and grains only during milking as treats.

The Rest

The farm offers herdshares for raw goat's milk, cow's milk, and a variety of cultured dairy products. Visitors can also purchase rainbow chicken eggs, pastured duck eggs, apples, and exotic poultry. Bindi Farms plans to host private events, birthday parties, and educational workshops on-site, allowing the community to engage with their friendly animals.
