Big Oak Farm

For over 150 years, this family farm has been a cornerstone of agriculture in Cabarrus County, North Carolina. Following in the footsteps of their grandfathers, the current generation continues the tradition of farming the land and selling produce and farm products. Known for their all-natural beef, the farm has made a name for itself at local farmers markets and through direct sales from their home.

Cattle are born and raised on green pastures, never confined, and are not given growth stimulants, hormones, or antibiotics. Until four weeks prior to processing, the cattle are pasture-raised and then provided with an all-natural feed supplement consisting of corn, wheat, soybean meal, dry molasses, and salt. This feed is offered free choice, meaning the cattle still have access to pastures while consuming the supplement.

The farm's beef products are USDA inspected and vacuum sealed for freshness and flavor preservation. Customers can purchase beef and pork directly from the farm in Harmony, NC, or at the Davidson, Denver, and Conover farmers markets. The farm also collaborates with Know Your Farms LLC and Revolution Pizza in Charlotte. Visitors are welcome to schedule a visit to the farm, but are advised to call ahead.
