About the Farm

Background

Since 1997, Bently Ranch has been known for producing high-quality cattle. In 2013, they expanded their offerings to include Certified Natural, Certified Non-Hormone Treated Cattle, and grass-fed and finished beef. Today, they remain dedicated to producing the West's best grass-fed beef.

Practices

Their beef is Certified GAP Level 4, ensuring cows are pasture-centered, have an enriched environment, and are never crowded together. The beef is dry-aged for three weeks. They also cultivate grains and corn for their sister company, Bently Heritage Estate Distillery, controlling every step of the process from growing to malting. Additionally, they operate a climate-controlled greenhouse for botanicals and a 120-acre orchard for apples, pears, peaches, and cherries. Their crops are fertilized with chemical-free compost.

The Rest

They grow Citra, Simcoe, and Centennial hops for regional breweries and offer composting services for biomass at a nominal fee.
