About the Farm
Background
Founded in 2001 as a rough homestead with a rudimentary natural garden, Bennett Farm and Nursery has grown into a small natural farm known for its Sweet White Pineapple, Mango, Avocado, and various citrus trees. The mission is to make Hawaii self-sustaining in its food supply and even export to the rest of the world.
Practices
Emphasizing natural farming methods, the farm cultivates its produce organically, focusing on the health of the soil and the ecosystem. The nursery produces grafted fruit trees, ensuring robust and healthy plants for both local and wholesale distribution.
The Rest
The farm offers Sweet White Pineapple at $2 per pound and a variety of grafted fruit trees including Golden Glow and Mapalehu Mangoes, Kahalu and Yamagata Avocado, and several types of citrus. Orders can be placed via email, and the farm also engages with the community through a blog and social media.
