About the Farm
Background
Located an hour's drive north of the Twin Cities, the farm offers a variety of meats by reservation from May through October, with eggs available year-round. Customers can pick up fresh rabbit and chickens directly from the farm, while larger animals are slaughtered on-site to reduce stress and preserve meat tenderness before being sent to the butcher.
Practices
As stewards of the land, the farm avoids artificial fertilizers and chemicals on their pastures. Livestock are not given subtherapeutic antibiotics, steroids, or arsenic as growth enhancers. Instead, they receive probiotics, kelp meal, natural vitamins, fresh air, sunshine, and clean paddocks.
