Their honey undergoes only coarse filtering to remove debris such as beeswax and bee parts. They manage hives with respect for the bees, controlling varroa mites through hygienic stock, smaller hive sizes, and managed breaks in the brood cycle. The bees use natural comb, and an enhanced pollinator habitat has been created in their primary bee yard to ensure year-round forage. Honey is harvested responsibly, taking only what each hive can spare.
