For 5 generations and 82 years, B & R Farms, LLC has been dedicated to growing and processing Blenheim Apricots in Hollister, California. Since 1929, they have preserved one of California’s rarest fruit varieties, maintaining a tradition that dates back to the days before the Bay Area became synonymous with technology. The Blenheim apricot, once flourishing in beautiful orange orchards, is now an endangered delicacy due to international competition and urbanization pressures.

Caring for the Blenheim apricot is a labor of love, with a short harvest season sometimes condensed to as few as ten days. The yield is highly dependent on nature, as the variety is prone to disease and sunburn. The delicate nature of the fresh Blenheim apricot makes it nearly impossible to transport and ship, which has led many farmers to replace their orchards with hardier crops. Despite these challenges, the farm remains dedicated to growing and producing the best quality Blenheim apricot products.

The farm offers a wide range of dried apricots and jarred products made from family recipes, including savory items like Dried Apricot Chutney and sweet items like No Sugar Added Dried Apricot Cinnamon Spread. They also provide chocolate-covered dried apricot nibbles and extensive gift packages. The farm gift store is open Monday to Friday, 9-4:30, with limited farm tours available by prior arrangement. All orders include complimentary recipe cards.
