Avalon Acres Farm

Avalon Acres Farms began in 2002, founded by Tim Bodnar, a physicist, and his wife Jennifer, a former corporate executive. The farm has grown to employ over 40 small family farms in Tennessee, many of which are run by Amish families who farm without electricity.

The farm employs sustainable farming methods, striving to use as little pesticides as possible. The interconnected network of small family farms, including many Amish-run operations, emphasizes traditional farming techniques and a commitment to minimal environmental impact.

Customers can participate in the CSA program and find the farm's products in various Nashville restaurants and markets, including The Produce Place, The Turnip Truck, West Tennessee Farmers Market, and Whole Foods.
