About the Farm
Background
Located 10 miles east of Vinita, Oklahoma, in the rolling hills of Green Country, this second and third generation family-owned ranch has been dedicated to raising Aberdeen Angus beef. Known for their commitment to natural and humane practices, they have established a reputation for quality beef without the use of hormones, antibiotics, or grains.
Practices
The ranch focuses on raising Aberdeen Angus cattle on grass pastures and hay, ensuring a stress-free and clean environment. The cattle are allowed to graze naturally, which contributes to their well-being and the quality of the beef. This breed, known for its compact size and heavily muscled frame, offers a quality carcass with larger rib eyes per 100 pounds of body weight compared to larger Angus. The beef is processed at USDA-inspected facilities to maintain high standards.
The Rest
The ranch offers whole and half beef, typically aged between 18 months to 2 1/2 years, with current pricing at $3.40 per pound of hanging weight. They also feature a Scottish Highlander cow named Isabella, known for her sweet disposition despite her horns. For more information or to place an order, customers can contact the ranch via phone or email.
