Located in the Piney Woods of East Texas, this small family farm has been on a journey toward self-sufficiency, producing enough food for themselves with surplus to share. Known for their dedication to heritage breeds, they offer pork and lamb that harken back to old-world flavors.
Practices
The farm raises Large Black heritage pigs that graze on pasture and are supplemented with gluten-free organic feed. These rare heritage pigs are known for their exceptional flavor. Additionally, the farm raises St. Croix lambs on pasture, ensuring a natural and healthy diet for the animals.
The Rest
Pork is sold by half or whole pig, averaging about $6.00 per pound of packaged and frozen meat. Similarly, pasture-raised St. Croix lamb is available at the same price point.
