About the Farm

Background

Amy and her husband, Todd, have been grass-finishing Angus-crossbred beef for over 20 years, directly serving local consumers along the Colorado Front Range. They source and hand-select their cattle from two family-owned ranches known for raising healthy, hardy animals on rural, native pastures.

Practices

The cattle finish in their second year on high-altitude mountain pastures in western Larimer County, where they graze on lush native grasses, plants, and forbs. In winter, they are supplemented with hay to ensure a natural forage diet. The farm employs humane methods to move the cattle frequently, holistically maintaining the lands and waterways that also support local and migrating wildlife. The beef is forage-fed (no grain, soy, or corn), hormone and antibiotic-free. The meat is dry-aged for 14-21 days and USDA inspected.

The Rest

The farm sells whole, half, and quarters of beef, with a limited supply of assorted cuts, burger, and organ meats available in early December. Pickup or delivery can be arranged from October to December. Orders can be made by phone or through the website order form. The farm uses holistic techniques to manage the cattle and land, aiming to improve the range and sustain grasslands for future use.
