About the Farm
Background
Established in 1854, this family farm has been passed down through generations, maintaining a commitment to sustainable agriculture. Known for its diverse offerings, the farm has been free of hormones, GMOs, antibiotics, and harmful chemicals since 1976.
Practices
The farm employs regenerative and renewal techniques, focusing on ecological diversity and the conservation of natural resources. Heirloom vegetables are featured, and organically produced seeds are used whenever possible. The farm's practices ensure that all products are raised in a pure and natural fashion.
The Rest
The farm offers a 22-week CSA from the end of May through mid-October and sells products at an on-farm veggie stand, local farmers markets, a Farm-2-School program, and food co-ops. Direct-to-consumer sales, specialty crop contracting, and wholesaling of produce are also available. Internships are offered, and Janet is available for speaking engagements.
