Adamah Farm Central Detroit

Located in Central Detroit, the farm was created to address the need for fresh produce in a neighborhood with limited access to affordable, high-quality products. It operates under the community development organization, Central Detroit Christian, and is known for its commitment to community building through agriculture.

The farm employs urban agriculture techniques to grow a variety of produce, including gourmet mushrooms, which are unique to the city. It emphasizes the importance of access, employment, and education, offering youth employment and educational opportunities through programs like CDC’s R.E.A.D.Y. and Grow Detroit’s Young Talent (GDYT).

Produce is available through a CSA program, where for every two sign-ups, one family in the neighborhood receives a weekly subsidized box of produce. The farm also sells bulk produce to restaurants and chefs, and has a presence at various farmer’s markets in Detroit. Follow them on Instagram for updates.
