Acton-Boxborough Farmers Market

The Acton-Boxborough Farmers Market (ABFM) has transitioned to a producer-only market, shifting from a previous policy that allowed vendors to sell a small number of items from other vetted farms or producers. This change was implemented by the ABFM Leadership Board to eliminate confusion and provide clear information about food sourcing, promoting integrity in market standards.

Vendors at the ABFM are now required to sell only the produce and value-added products that they themselves grow or make. This ensures that all goods available at the market are directly sourced from the producers, fostering transparency and trust between the vendors and market-goers.

The ABFM is a vibrant community event held every Sunday from June to October on Pearl Street in West Acton. It features a wide array of local and organic foods, including vegetables, fruits, cheeses, meats, seafood, pasta, honey, breads, flowers, baked goods, bagels, eggs, and specialty products such as local wines, jams, condiments, handmade soaps, and plants for the home garden. The market also offers music, artisan works, community organization participation, educational opportunities, and occasional children's activities, making it a lively destination for the local community.
