Practices
The farm employs hydroponic farming methods, which use 85% less water and 70% less space than traditional soil farming. This approach is particularly beneficial in times of drought and high land costs. The hydroponic system allows for efficient water use, with one head of lettuce requiring only 1-2 gallons of water from planting to maturity, compared to 50 gallons in soil farming. Additionally, plans are in place to utilize rainwater for cooling during the summer months.
