Wooden Nickel Buffalo Farm & Restaurant

Two Buffalo burgers at a local restaurant 22 years ago inspired the conversion of a family dairy farm into a fully operational Buffalo Farm. The farm has since become known for its healthy, farm-raised, all-natural bison fare, including burgers, hotdogs, sausage, roast, and steak dinners.

The farm raises American Bison, also known as Buffalo, focusing on producing meat that is lower in fat, calories, and cholesterol compared to traditional beef. The emphasis is on providing a sweet beef taste without the wild or gamy flavor often associated with bison.

The farm features a restaurant with a peaceful, casual dining atmosphere, homemade pies, and a variety of bison meat dishes. It also offers a petting zoo, pumpkin patch, corn maze, and a gift shop. Reservations are appreciated for groups of 10 or more, and hours of operation change seasonally, typically open on weekends from 11am to 5pm, with after-hours dining available by reservation.
