About the Farm
Background
Since moving to Hawkinsville, Georgia in 2006, the family-run hatchery began with a modest start of 30 chicks raised in a bathtub and has steadily increased its stock over the past decade. With over 10 years of experience in chickens, exotic birds, and waterfowl, the business has grown to provide a variety of day-old chicks and hatching eggs.
Practices
All animals are raised in large, outdoor pens rather than battery-style cages, allowing each breed to enjoy freedom to scratch and pick in the sun. The philosophy that 'chickens should be allowed to be chickens' guided the construction of each pen, ensuring a natural and healthy environment for the birds.
The Rest
The hatchery offers a flexible purchasing policy with no minimum order limit, allowing customers to buy as few or as many chicks as they need. Visitors are welcome to contact the hatchery with questions or to see the operation in person.
