About the Farm
Background
The farm is known for its diverse flock of chickens, including pure bred Americanas, Naked Necks, Rhode Island Red, Red Star, Game Hens, and Bantams, each contributing to a variety of egg colors and sizes.
Practices
The flock lives in a pesticide and chemical-free environment, roaming freely without confinement. At dusk, they return to a barn where their house and nest boxes are located. Their diet is supplemented with a natural vegetarian formula feed, free from added antibiotics or hormones, and includes brown flax seed.
The Rest
Eggs are sold at the Farmers Market at Grand Parkway every Saturday morning from 8 am to Noon.
