About the Farm
Background
For 40 years, the Stepp family has welcomed guests to their 100-acre farm in Hendersonville, NC, located in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Known for its pick-your-own apple orchard, the farm has become a cherished destination for generations of families. The farm is one of Henderson County’s first pick-your-own orchards and features 26 apple varieties.
Practices
The farm operates as a working orchard with a focus on providing a hands-on agricultural experience. Visitors are encouraged to pick their own apples from the 40-acre orchard, guided by the WishTrip app or directional signs. The farm emphasizes the importance of connecting people with the land through interactive activities and educational experiences.
The Rest
The farm offers a variety of family-friendly activities including a 5-acre corn maze, an apple cannon, a jump pad, and wagon rides. Guests are invited to bring picnics or enjoy food trucks available on some weekends. The farm is dog-friendly, allowing pets on leashes throughout the orchard, except in the Apple House and on wagon rides. The farm also participates in the annual North Carolina Apple Festival, held on Labor Day Weekend, where they offer apples, apple cider slushies, and apple cider donuts from their bakery.
